Happy Birthday Karson

I wanted to wait and post this with pictures of his baptism, but because of some family things we have changed his baptism to July. So with that said...
Karson is now EIGHT I can't believe it! We surprised him with tickets to a Jazz game with his dad. They went to the Jazz vs Kings so he got to see Jimmer play. When we surprised him we literally gave him the tickets 5 minutes before they were supposed to leave. He knew his dad was going to this game,  he just didn't know he was going , and his face was priceless. I just Love this Kid.

I also let Karson have a birthday party with his friends. He was so excited that right after Christmas he made all his invitation, and wanted to pass them out right then. It was very hard for him to wait three months. And yes these were the invitation. He came up with it all on his own one night when I thought he was asleep, and as a Mom trying to encourage his creativity and thinking on his own I just had to smile and say "OKAY, good job, these are great! They sat in his room until April, and by then (Thank goodness) he decided on some different invitations.

He wanted to play basketball for his party so we took all his friends to a  gym and played A BUNCH of different basketball games. Then brought them back and had pizza and cake. It all ended up being so much fun I don't think I will be able to top this party.

Hide and Seek

So the other night, I was getting the kids ready for bed, and I kept calling Baileys name to come get her pjs on, but there was no sign of her. After minutes of searching the house and calling her name(thinking she had fallen asleep somwhere) she finely said "right here mom" I looked down and this is what I found. What a funny girl! She had been hiding in the laundry basket on here bed the whole time.

Our Trip To State

Click here to view these pictures larger

Most of you know this already but I thought I would explain a little, a couple of years ago Todd started coaching the 9th grade Rigby basketball team, he also started to assist the Varsity team during their games, and he has loved it! So does Karson he gets to go to the practices, he sits on the bench during games, and  rides the bus with the team for away games. He knows all the players names and insist that he is going to be Trojan someday, forget that we live in skyline boundries. It has been very fun for our family. So when when Rigby won Districts this year, and earned a spot at State, we had to go cheer them on. The weekend ended up being great and even better Rigby won State. It has been since 1986 that they earned that title so it was a sweet victory for them.  Some might call me a traitor for supporting this team. I call it support for my husbands "extra curricular activities."  GO RIGBY!

Below are some pictures from Todds team they had great season too with a record of 15-5.

Happy Birthday Todd!

I want to say Happy 30th Birthday to Todd!! What better way to celebrate than to take him and do something he has never done before. Thats right we went cross country skiing with some friends.

At least thats what I thought we were doing until we were half way through our adventure and, I saw what we had to go down.
(are you kidding me!)

Todd was a good sport and we all had a great time.

We laughed the entire day, due mostly because everytime we turned around someone was on the ground. (So funny! This is not even half of the falls. Todd got really good and getting up faster than I could get the camera out.)

Thanks Todd for being such a good Husband and Dad, and even though...

I think you're going to have a great year!

"First" moments of January

I wanted to share  all our "firsts" for the month of January.

Bailey had her first day of Primary, and loves it! As soon as sacrament meeting is over she runs right to the primary room with Kambree before I have a chance to goodbye. (she is getting so big)

Our second First came when I decided it was time to tame this...

So Demry got her first pony tail!

Our last first came when Demry gave Karson his first "puke in the face" (at least it didn't go in his mouth) I had to put this on here because it made me laugh so hard, in fact I am laughing as I post it.

Never to Young or Old to Celebrate New Years

To bring in the new year we decided to take a trip to Utah, and have a little mini vacation with the kids.

We started Friday night and took the kids to Temple Square so they could see the lights. The weather was perfect and the lights were beautiful.

Saturday we started the day by taking the kids to see the animals at Cabelas. Todd told the them, that just like in the movie "Night at the Museum" the animals come to life at night. They didn't believe him so we asked a worker, and it has been confirmed that yes the animals do in fact come to life at night. You should have seen their eyes.(so funny!)

From Cabelas we took the kids to Chucky Cheese (crazy!) and then on to the BYU basketball game. With Great Grandma McFadden who who was celebrating her 100th new year and soon to be her 101 birhtday!

BYU won and everybody had fun.

That night we decided to be a little crazy, grandma bought medium salsa instead of mild, holy cow it was hot.

We celebrated the New Year for the kids at nine o'clock and sent them to bed.

We stayed up till the midnight playing our two favorite games!

On Sunday Demry got to meet her other Great Grandma (Cook) and then it was back to Idaho. We had a great time,  and it was good to see my grandmas again.
